Privacy policy

Your notes stay with you.

LugaLog is a local-first app. Your recordings, transcripts, notes, and AI-generated reviews remain on your device unless you choose to export them or send information in an issue report.

Data that stays local

LugaLog does not require an account. Voice recordings, transcripts, written notes, extracted items, daily reviews, and app preferences are stored on your device or in a folder you choose. Core transcription and analysis run on your device.

LugaLog does not currently collect or transmit product analytics or usage events.

Optional issue reports

Shaking your iPhone or choosing Report an Issue opens a report form. Opening the form does not send anything. Information is transmitted only after you review the form and tap Send.

Included in every report

  • The message you enter and the time and source of the report.
  • The LugaLog version, build number, and bundle identifier.
  • Device and environment details: device category, operating-system version, screen size and scale, locale, and time zone.

Optional screenshot

If Screenshot is enabled, the visible app screen is attached. The preview is shown before sending. A screenshot can contain visible note text or other content on the screen. You can turn Screenshot off before sending.

Optional diagnostics

If Diagnostics is enabled, the report also includes:

  • App state and settings, including record and tag counts, processing state, model selections and availability, and shared-folder configuration and name.
  • Up to 10 recent model-failure records, including the operation, internal note identifier, date, error description, duration, and timestamp.

Diagnostics are designed to exclude voice recordings, transcripts, note text, prompts, and successful model output. You can turn Diagnostics off before sending.

How reports are used

We use issue reports only to respond to support requests, reproduce problems, repair defects, and improve LugaLog. We do not sell issue-report data, use it for advertising, or use it to track you across apps or websites owned by other companies.

Service providers

Issue reports are received by a Cloudflare Worker and stored in Cloudflare R2. A notification containing the report message and limited report metadata is sent to Discord so that we can review it. Cloudflare also processes network information required to deliver and protect the request. These providers process report data on our behalf under their respective terms and privacy commitments.

Retention and deletion

Report messages, diagnostics, and screenshots stored in Cloudflare R2 are automatically deleted 90 days after upload. A limited Discord notification may be retained while reasonably needed to investigate the report, improve the app, maintain security, and meet legal obligations, and is deleted when no longer needed for those purposes.

LugaLog does not use an account or stable user identifier, so we may not be able to associate a stored report with a particular person automatically. To request deletion, contact us with the approximate submission date and enough of the report message to locate it.

Your choices

  • Cancel the issue-report form without sending anything.
  • Review the screenshot and remove it before sending.
  • Turn Diagnostics off before sending.
  • Delete local app data from LugaLog Settings or by removing the app.
  • Delete files separately from any shared or exported folder you selected; removing LugaLog does not remove files stored outside the app.

Policy changes

If LugaLog begins routinely collecting analytics or materially changes how data is handled, this policy and the in-app disclosure will be updated before that collection begins. The effective date above indicates the latest revision.

For privacy questions or deletion requests, use Report an Issue in LugaLog Settings. Include “Privacy request” at the beginning of the message so it can be identified promptly. You may turn off Screenshot and Diagnostics for that request.
