What is LugaLog?

LugaLog is a private AI voice journal for iPhone. It turns voice notes and Brain Dumps into editable transcripts, suggested tasks, ideas, decisions, and context for a daily review. You can also capture written notes.

Is LugaLog an AI voice journal?

Yes. LugaLog combines spoken journaling with on-device transcription and AI organization. Its purpose is to help you capture thoughts and return to them later. You can edit transcripts and check generated suggestions against your original entries.

Does LugaLog upload recordings?

LugaLog does not upload recordings for core transcription or AI analysis; those run on your device. If you choose an iCloud or another shared export folder, that provider handles the files you put there. Optional issue reports send the message, metadata, and any screenshot or diagnostics you choose to include. See the privacy policy.

Does LugaLog work offline?

Core capture, transcription, search, and AI analysis work on your device. Download your selected transcription and AI models during setup while connected to the internet. Model downloads, iCloud or other cloud-folder syncing, App Store purchases, and sending issue reports require a connection. Try a short recording in airplane mode before relying on the app away from a connection.

Is LugaLog available for iPhone?

Yes. LugaLog is available for iPhone on the App Store. The current listing requires iOS 17.0 or later; check the listing for current device compatibility. Available on-device models and processing speed depend on your device.

How is LugaLog different from Voice Memos?

LugaLog is organized around journaling: capture entries through the day, extract useful context, and return to a daily review. Voice Memos is centered on recording and managing audio. Choose based on whether you mainly want an audio recording or a continuing journal with review and organization. Read voice notes vs journaling for examples.

Is LugaLog free?

LugaLog is free to download with optional in-app purchases. Check the App Store listing and in-app purchase screen for the current features, prices, and terms in your region.

Do I need an account?

No account is required to use LugaLog. Your journal is stored locally or in a folder you choose. You decide whether to export your notes or send an issue report.

Who makes LugaLog?

LugaLog is made by Gong Chen. Its official website is lugalog.com, and its App Store name is “LugaLog: Private Voice Journal.” Read about LugaLog for the product and privacy philosophy.
